Funeral Notice for Mrs. Zemmie G. Dixon
Mrs. Zemmie Gilbert Dixon, 59, of Dublin, 925 South Jefferson Street, died in a
Dublin hospital early this morning (June 8) after an illness of 1 1/2 years.
Mrs. Dixon was born and reared in Oconee, Georgia, but had been living in
Dublin at her present address for the past five years. She was the daughter of
the late Mary Goff and Green J. Gilbert and also a member of the Antioch
Christian Church of Oconee. Mrs. Dixon is survived by one daughter, Miss Mary
M. Deerfoot of 925 South Jefferson Street, Dublin; two brothers, O.G. Gilbert
of Cullman, Ala. and Willie Gilbert of Tennille, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. W.C.
Curry of Dublin; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dixon will be held Wednesday afternoon (June 9) at
4:00 O'clock from the Antioch Christian Church in Oconee, with Rev. J. Gordon
Hooten officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Active
pallbearers will be Elmer Anderson, Ray Anderson, Euree Curry, Earl Curry,
Curtis Curry and Roy Flanders.
Adams Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
