Rachels-Jones
Tuesday evening last, at the home of the bride's father, Capt. John A. Rachels,
Miss Ella Rachels was united in marriage to Mr. Claude H. Jones.
The cememony was performed by Rev. John M. Outler in the presence of just a few
friends and relatives. The marriage was set for several weeks ago, but Mr.
Jones was taken suddenly ill and had to be carried to a hospital in Atlanta.
This necessitated a postponement.
As soon as Mr. Jones recovered suffieciently to return to the city, the
marriage ceremony was solemnized without making any public announcement.
The bride is one of the sweetest young ladies of the city, and is popular with
all her friends. She is modest, lady-like and refined, and has a large circle
of friends.
Mr. Jones is a steady-going, reliable young man, of sterling worth, high
character and strict integrity.
The friends of the bride and groom wish for them a long and happy married life.
