I'm slow; still don't have my pictures developed but hope to this week.

Spent all last week preparing to go to Washington County, GA for the cemetery
dedication honoring my gggggrandfather who fought in the Revolutionary War
and also my gggrandfather who fought in the War Between the States. I took 5
rolls of film from that program. It was something to see and remember. It's
quite unusual this day in time to find a "lost" cemetery containing so many
of a person's ancestors. The DAR, UDC, and SCV participated and did a great
job. My heart swelled to hear "Dixie" sung once again by everyone in the
crowd with the wind howling through the tall Georgia pines! Saturday was a
terribly cold, windy day for an event but everyone was warmed to the gills
with all the excitement. Makes me even more proud to be a "Southerner".
Moses COX (Revolutionary War soldier) and James Ransome AVANT (War Between
the States' soldier) were the soldiers recognized. Anyone researching these
lines........there's a wealth of information available on them and their
descendants.

TINA: Bill Cox, a descendant living in California was one of the persons
responsible for finding, gathering information, and putting the program
together. Look what can be done from across the continent (?) I guess it's
across the continent. :>)
