I am trying to determine the parents of Mary BRANAN (about 1821-1873) who married Bryant WOOD sometime prior to the 1840 Wilkinson Co., census. Joseph Maddox speculated that she was the daughter of Caswell Branan, perhaps because she had a son named Caswell. However, the dates I show for two different Caswell/Carswell Branans of Wilkinson Co. do not fit with her dates. Her other known children were: Charles Joseph, Martha T., Mary Elizabeth, Malissa B., Hilliard, Sarah, William and perhaps Francis. Can anyone help me with this family? Thanks!
