Maddox' "Wilkinson County, Georgia Historical Collections, pub. in 1973 says on page 377 that John L. Ross, wife Mary(born 1813), was born in 1806, and was the son of William Ross. Their children were: Narcissa b. 1833, Chas., b. 1836, Ann, b. 1839 (md. Jesse M. Sutton), Green, b. 1841, Wm., b. 1836, Geo., b. 1848, and John b. 1851.
Mr. Maddox also mentions that: "It is not known whether Wm.Jr. or Wm. Sr. married Pensy Wallace because one Wm. is shown to have married Nancy Harrell".
I am not related to these Ross' - just trying to be helpful.
