Wendy,
If you are still on the list, I want to agree with Joan's comments, and
hope that you will not leave this list if you would like to remain. I think
possibly Wendy may be new to this list, and may not know Gervaise and how
very much she has helped so many people over the years (and still does).
Either way, whether she helped others or not, I agree, that while Gervaise's
post was somewhat "personal", I think she did address it to someone in
particular ... but mentioning her connection to the new Gov of GA is not
what I would consider being "political" either ....
(I also just re-read Gervaise's post, and it appears she did try to
email privately to the person she was writing to, and her email was
Returned; so I dont see a problem at all with her sending an email to her ON
THE LIST asking her to get in touch with her due to the email being ret'd.
Sometimes lists are a good way to reconnect with people!)
This is a good genealogical list, and has never had any problems with
people staying "on topic", and I appreciate everyone who posts on this list
and shares info.... and glad for those who even just lurk, and those who
post Queries!
So, Wendy, if you're still here, please stay if you'd like.... I think
you would benefit from sticking with it .... :)
