I am seeking information and do not know where to turn. I have been
searching the web sites to find out how to gain information regarding Wilkinson
County. I was adopted in 1954 and my mother surrendered her parental rights in
Wilkinson County. The only information I have is that her father shot himself
accidently while unloading a gun in probably 1945-50. I have tried to contact y
our local newspaper to find out how to search the death records for your
county. If you could offer any information to me it would be greatly appreciated.
I have a feeling that my birth mother (who is probably 70 years old by now) is
still living in the area. She was an only child and never married nor had
any other children. Thank you.
