A close review of the 1850 census will show that Romulus was in the
household of Harriet next door to Savil. Harriet was a daughter of Sampson
and Savil Dixon who apparently bore at least 3 children out of wedlock. They
were Romulus, b. 1839, Martin D., b. 1840, and Roannah Josephine Dixon, b.
1850. The only other information I have on Romulus is -

Romulus Dixon
Residence Wilkinson County GA; Enlisted on 7/9/1861 as a Private. On
7/9/1861 he mustered into "B" Co. GA 14th Infantry
He died on 9/6/1863 at Orange County Court House, VA.

I am a descendant of Sampson and Savil (via son Jeremiah) and would also be
interested in any additional information on Romulus.
