don't rule it out based on the names being backwards. My grandmother's on the 1920 census was that way (Henrietta Asielee) the census said "Asley" because she was called by her middle name. I have one relation that may be buried with her middle name listed first (not really sure on that point because she died when my grandfather was just a small boy). I met another relation on-line and after he saw a pic of a tombstone, he was confused because it says Lucille M and he knew his mother-in-law's name was Mary Lucille.
