For all persons who have sent me questions about Genlias, this may answer some
of your concerns. The data base is gradually being updated, but it may take up
to 2002 till it is fully completed.

It is both in Dutch and English and anyone can register as a user. A word of
caution, you are given a USERID but you select your own password.

Reasons for no results:
1) The records your are looking do not exist.
2) The records you are looking for have NOT yet been entered into the
database.
3) Your browser messes up the form.
4) You have entered too much information.
5) Do NOT ask for information for persons who are alive 1900 up to now.
6) There will be NO information of the time frame 1940 up to now at all.

Example entry:

Province Friesland
Source all sources
First person surname Jansen
Role all roles
Location period to 1800-1900

I am have made up this message from notes sent direct to me.

My grateful thanks to Greet Collins, Lars Roobol and Koos Fokkens for the input
and I hope there are no mistakes and I have not left out anyone who sent me
notes.

A request to other contributors to the BENELUX news group. If you have any other
information, could you please put on the BENELUX news group in English if
possible. If not send it to me and I will translate it to the best of my ability
and then post it on the news group.
