On 3 Dec 1999 04:20:50 -0800, (R. Stephen
Hansell, Attorney at Law and Patent Attorney) gave the following
interesting info:
>NOTE
>TO Webmaster (or other teckkies): Is there a way to set up a filter--or a
>coding system as below--for those who really don't want to bother with more
>than one region?
Ron
The answer is no. You can only filter if everyone would systematically
use the prefixes or whatever other ALWAYS applicable indication of a
region.
Another aspect is that the discussion has swerved from splitting into
Be, Ne and Lux to should postings be written in English?
My opinion is NO to splitting and NO to posting only in English.
As has been said before and is continuously being shown in practice,
all queries in English and French are answered in those languages (or
in English at least).
Although this is not nl.genealogy.benelux Dutch is the lingua
franca here and not English and I'd prefer keeping it that way.
Sorry for you guys with the dictionaries.
