Hello all,

While "Googling" for Van Oldenbarnaveldtkade (straat), I've come across a
site which shows the street layout as it appears today.

http://www.staatskrant.com/wijkcent/krant/kantoor/kaart.htm

The map indicates the street falls into what is known as the "Frederik
Hendrikbuurt". Does anyone know when these "buurt" names came into
existance? Are they "modern" additions, or have these "buurts" been around
as long as the streets?

The Van Oldenbarnaveldtkade was renamed to Van Oldenbarnaveldtstraat,
presumably when the canal was filled in. Records show in 1896/97 my g
grandfather lived at Van Oldenbarnaveldtkade 89. Any information, pictures
of that era would also be appreciated.

H. Bedankt,
