There are 11 families listed in the Deutsch Telefon CD in the south of
Germany in the Stuttgart and Ulm area and one family in Giessen near
Frankfort am Main. They do not speak Platt Duetsch in this area, but
rather what is called Schwabian in the south. I would not care to quess
on the origan of the name
