Strange how anyone can exclude history from his genealogy and still
claim to be doing genealogy. Somehow something got lost in the
translation of the word I guess.

It is precisely for my grandchildren, so that they may show it to
their grandchildren, that the events I experienced in my lifetime are
written down. To me genealogy starts with my recollections of life
and it attempts, however sparingly, to fill in the lives of those who
came before me.

Whatever may be obvious to Alan Seth and has nothing to do with
genealogy is then best not discussed here as it must be a private
matter about which only he knows something, but I fail to see what
this has to do with the story of my life and what my grandchildren
should or shouldn't see. The task at hand is to show them precisely
what was - nothing less, nothing more.
