I am looking for info on the Gehrels family in Ostfriesland. They
originate in 1480 from the hamlet of Osterscheps in Ostfriesland
in North West Germany and then fanned out to Holland (in 1780),
USA (19th century), Australia, UK and Canada (20th century).
I am trying to find origins of certain branches as well as unknown
relatives.

I would like to hear from any genealogist who has the name Gehrels in
their database. We may be able to help each other!

Sie stammt aus dem Weiler Osterscheps in Ostfriesland und verbreitete
sich nach Holland (1780), nach USA (19. Jahrhundert), Australien,
Grossbritannien und Kanada (20. Jahrhundert). Wir versuchen die
Urspruenge zu finden, sowohl von bestimmten Zweigen als auch von
unbekannten Verwandten.
