Subject: Heinrich BUSCH of Bohmte

My immigrant ancestor Herman Heinrich BUSCH was born 16 April 1799 in Bohmte in
the Kingdom of Hanover. On 27 April 1836 there he married Anna Maria, born 25
June 1811, daughter of Christopher Henrich LUEBKER and Elizabeth NIEMEYER. The
family bought a
farm in Van Wert County, Ohio which their son, my
great-grandfather, sold in order to buy a hotel-saloon in Brookville, Indiana.
According to information received from the Catholic priest in Bohmte, Herman
was the son of Herman Heinrich BUSCH, born 1759 who married Maria Elizabeth
LINNEMANN 9 June 1795 in "Essen". I have no further data about the ancestry of
these folks, but would
appreciate it. I thought "Essen" might be a reference
to the nearby village of "Bad Essen", but that seems to be a Lutheran place and
no data was provided in response to an inquiry.
According to family tradition, the Busch's were somehow related to the socially
prominent VON DEM BUSSCHE Family who had an estate nearby, but I have not been
able to make that connection from the much Von dem Bussche material which I
found at Salt Lake C
ity.
Am also intrigued by the fact that Martin Luther's mother was a Linneman!
Wenn Sie Daten ueber diesen Familien haben, bitte schreiben!
I am "Der Charley [Recker]":
