I assume you are aware that the last head of the infamous Stasi secret
police of East Germany was Erich Mielke? Just a thought...
Maybe there's a biography on him, and maybe his family happens to come
from Pommern. My dictionary says that he was born in Berlin in 1907, but
then again many Berliners have anchestors from Prussian provinces.
Buelow I think is a famous nobility family from Mecklenburg (actually
that's von Blow, of course). Mecklenburg is just next to Pommern. There
should be material available about that family, and maybe you discover a
relation.
Have you tried looking for those names in a (preferably German and old)
dictionary?
