No, the duchy lauenburg is much older and was not rebuilt in 1872. It
became prussian in 1865 and part of schleswig-holstein in 1876.

Not quite, no mecklenburg territories became part of lauenburg before
1945.

Well, just the catholic church, as the prussian king was supreme head
of the lutheran churches of prussia.

it is no new district. since the askanier divided saxony,
sachsen-lauenburg is a separate duchy.

No, not true. Bismarck even refused to take the title duke of
lauenburg.

well, the lauenburg borders were quite stable from 1265 to 1945.
