Dave,
Is it possible for an immigrant to land in Philadelphia and then go to
Lancaster PA?
My GGGGGrandfather John M. Byroad may have come over between the dates
youhave look ups for, but he and his unknown wife had a son John Byroad II
in 1803 in Lancaster PA. Found John M. Byroad II's Father listed on a
marriage lisence when he m. in his 80's to his second wife, but he listed no
Mother. I am searching for his Parents John Byroad I and his wife, when and
where they came to the United States from Germany. I don't know how far
from Philadelphia Lancaster is, or if it was possible for them to land in
Philadelphia and then have GGGGrandpa John in Lancaster in 1803. They
migrated from PA, to Ohio and then to Indiana finally settling in Lebanon,
Boone County, Indiana where GGGGrandpa John M. Byroad is burried.
If you can help with a look up it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
