I have tried to learn the meaning of Heidschi Bumbeidschi found in the title
and words of a lovely Christmas song. The most I have been able to learn is
that it is an old Bavarian tune.

Does any one know the meaning or is it simply a nonsense phrase. I have the
feeling it is most likely a Bavarian dialect. Does anyone out there have an
answer?
