Hi,
I'm looking for information about my gggrandfather's family. His name was
Peter Nimsger. He is listed in the 1900 U.S. census as being born in 1835 in
Germany. His wife, Barbara, was born in 1840 in France. They had two
children - Ed b.1870 in France, Fred b.1875 in Canada. They immigrated to
Philadelphia, Penn., U.S.A. in 1881 and later to Wisconsin. My grandfather
recalled hearing a story at one time about their name being possibly changed
slightly, but he never got any details. Any information about the family or
where to look for info would be greatly appreciated.
