I am trying to find some information on a man named Richard "Dick" Schikat, who
immigrated to America from Dresden, Germany on the Muenchen in October 1923.
He was 27 years old at the time. He was a professional wrestler and would go
on to gain great fame on the North American continent. He was World Champion.
His wife, Ereka Schikat died in May 1936 near Columbus, Ohio. I obtained her
death records, and it said that her body was returned to Dresden for burial.
Her parents were Paul Dain and Ilse Dietric Dain.

Mr. Schikat, known professionally as 'Shikat,' wrestled in the U.S. until June
1953, where he seemingly disappeared. I am thinking that he returned to
Germany at that time. Reports are that he may have died in 1953 as well, but I
have found nothing to back that information up.

Does anyone have any records of Mr. Schikat or his family? I am specifically
looking for his date of death.

Can someone point me in another direction or give me some advice.
