Members and others are cordially invited to attend the Annual Meeting of the Oregon Historic Cemeteries Association on March 17th. This meeting will be held at the Old Aurora Colony Museum in Aurora, Oregon. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., and our business meeting and program begin at 10:00 a.m.

Our program, presented by members of the Aurora Colony Historical Society, will explore the history of the Aurora Colony and its two old cemeteries. For a small fee ($5), guests may also tour the museum.

Please bring a sack lunch. At noon, we will cross the street to the historic Aurora Presbyterian Church for lunch and a time of fellowship. We will then caravan to the Keil Cemetery and the Aurora Community Cemetery where members of the Aurora Cemetery Association will lead us on an enlightening tour.

Our meeting, program, and tours are free and open to the public. For additional information, please write to us at or visit our web site at www.oregoncemeteries.org. At our web site, please visit our Calendar of Events page. The March 17th entry for this event includes a link to a related story, "Whiskey Filled Coffin," we know you will enjoy!
