Hi Colleagues

The next meeting of the Computer Group of the Oxfordshire Family History
Society will be held on Monday 17 June 2002 at Oxford University Computing
Services, 13 Banbury Road, Oxford. This is located just to the north of St
Giles. Doors open at 7:15 pm for coffee, with the presentation
starting at around 7.30pm.

The evening will consist of a lecture by Alan Simpson entitled "Publishing
on the web - a beginner's guide to creating your own web pages". Even though
Alan comes from the wrong side of the Pennines, I have found him to be a
very knowledgeable speaker, and I would suggest that this is a lecture not
to be missed.

I have recently been examining the society's bookstall stocks at the Holford
Centre. In order to move some books that have been on the shelves for some
time, I have been authorised by the committee to hold a sale. As some of
these books are computer-related and not obsolete, there will also be a
small OFHS bookstall at the meeting. Come early and grab a bargain !

All members, potential members and their guests are welcome.
