The Southern California Genealogical Society is pleased to announce an
invitation to submit lecture proposals for the SCGS Jamboree and Resource
Expo to be held at the Burbank Airport Hilton and Conference Center,
Burbank, California, Friday through Sunday, June 8-10, 2007.

A wide variety of presentations will be considered for participants at all
levels of expertise, including:
.California research
.California records and repositories
.research methodology and best practices
.skill building
.cultural and ethnic research
.writing and publishing
.family history
.computers and technology
.society management
.genetics and DNA research
.source records
.immigration and naturalization
.professional topics

Original topic submissions are encouraged. The program committee will
consider proposals for panels, workshops and other ground-breaking
presentations. The committee will also heavily weigh presentations not
recently given at a regional conference. Sponsored lecture proposals are
also welcome. No limit on proposals. PowerPoint presentations are
encouraged. Sessions will be one hour including questions, although we will
entertain proposals for longer times as warranted by the topic or design of
the presentation.

Presenters selected will receive an honorarium, one year single membership
in the Southern California Genealogical Society, and complimentary
conference registration. Further compensation details and additional
information will be provided upon acceptance of proposal.
