This list of Windows Genealogy programs was provided by George

Requires: IBM-clone; MS-Windows 3.1; hard disk; dot matrix, ink jet
and laser printers supported.
Description: Lineage-linked database allowing 10,000 names, unlimited
number of marriages per person, 13 children per marriage. Notes: One
per person,marriage and reference field, respectively limited to 4,000
characters (approximately 2 pages) per note. Sorts by ID number or
name with user- defined sorts on any field. Prints pedigree
(3-generation), descendant charts, family group sheets, alphabetical
and customized lists. GEDCOM supported.

Program: Reunion for Windows
Requires: 286, 386, or 486 IBM PC or compatible; Windows 3.0 or
newer (Windows 3.1 strongly recommended); hard disk; at least 2MB RAM.
Description: Organizes genealogical information and creates charts,
reports, and documents worthy of publication. Records standard person
information including custom event date and place, miscellaneous notes
up to 30,000 characters per person, and five custom fields (for
medical, military, education, etc.); pop-up lists for repetitive place
names and surnames; supports links to color or b&w photos, records,
maps, etc. (magnifies images on screen). Reference notes document
sources of information. Calculates ages: shows weekday for birth,
death, and marriage; the age at marriage; the current age or lifespan;
the length of a marriage in years and days. Creates large graphic tree
charts, including descendant charts up to 99 generations and pedigree
charts up to 25 generations; full on-screen editing of box color, font,
shadow, border, connecting lines, and captions; change the chart by
clicking and dragging boxes or branches. Creates reports such as
index, event calendars, family group sheets, family histories, person
sheets, mailing lists, and mail merge files, even questionnaires for
gathering more information. Calculates relationships, including custom
relationship lists. Exports reports and data in word processor,
spreadsheet, database, or desktop publishing software. GEDCOM
import/export. Creates custom lists that you specify, and a family
file log keeps track of your research. Supports 16 date formats, up to
30,000 individuals per family file, up to 20 children per husband and
wife, up to 26 spouses (!?!) per individual. Searches for any text in
any field. Option to convert surnames to all caps or mixed case.

Description: Easy to use photographic, and lineage-linked
genealogical database with display of relationship, key dates,
photograph (1per person) and unlimited text for biography with timeline
1000 AD to present. Data entry through an on-screen form. Supports
(1000 persons/500 marriages- Version 2.0; 8000 - Version 2.01) persons.
Drop-down input forms with error checking. Fields: birth date and
place, user-selectable event date and place, occupation, death date and
place, burial death and place. "Nameline" family portrait allows

generations. Clicking on the name of a relation jumps to that member.
Biographic information accompanies the photo. One free-form text area
