I for one am very tired of what seems to be a quarterly tiff over the
language used by the drafters of the postings on this newsgroup. I am
tired of downloading dozens of messages concerning it, ranking second to
complaints about spammers.

Those who write in English know that some readers are disenfranchised.
Likewise, those writing in Francais limit the audience for their postings.

Anyone doing genealogy on French-speaking ancestors should have some
working knowledge of genealogical terms, not only French, but English and
any other language associated to where our respective anscestors may have
traveled leaving a trail of discovery.

You should expect people to write in one language or another. Get over
it!
