Hi all,
Sorry for the repost, but I had problems with the newsgroup and don't
know if it got out earlier.
I've just come across a lead on a long-time dead end with one of my
family lines.
I'm looking for any and all information on a Jean Paul DeSeine/Seine and
his daughter, Maria, born around 1805.
Maria was supposedly half french and her parents "lost their heads" in
the revolution (tho' the dates dont seem to match too well), she was
orphaned at a young age and became a ward of an english family. She was
a lady-in-waiting to the british governor of India in the (I assume)
1820's (probably Lord Amherst).
I have no idea how accurate any of this information is, but would
appreciate anything (information or suggestions) on Jean Paul & Marie.
Thanks,
David Powell <>

We praise you Lord for the strange and silly,
For supernovas and odd-shaped animals, the whimsical shape of a cloud,
the toothless grin of a baby. For prisms, caves and sneezes.
You have brightened our days with the gifts of wonder and mirth
through the works of your hands, we are invited to giggle and gawk:
to stand wide-eyed and speechless before the dance of creation.
