Hi...

Have traced family back from Jamaica to Cartagena, Columbia and realize that
this is a common name in South America. Our ggg-grand-father was Joseph (or
Jose) Munie Figueroa, married to Conception Torres around 1800. They had a
son, Jose Angel Figueroa (aka Joseph Angelus) who was living in Jamaica from
roughly 1820 on.....married in 1844.

Any help would be appreciated, or info on how to search in Columbia (could
also have lived in Colon)...I use the Mormon church but haven't looked into
the availability of the catholic church records. Not available thru the LDS
in Jamaica.
