I'm half Mexican and I'm still laughing. So much of it is true. If we can't
laugh at ourselves then we're in bad shape. I must say though that as many
times that I have flown to Mexico I never experienced the clapping on
landing until my trip to the Azores. I was totally confused at the
clapping that broke out as we landed at Terceira, we asked the gentleman
sitting next to us why they were clapping and he just said it was customary.
