Couple of points, Steve. The name MAY have been Rosales OR Rosalez all
along--one never knows with spelling. My Saldivar family originated in
earlier records in 18th century Mexico as Zaldivar but in Spain it's
Saldivar. In Mexico, they lived in Jerez, Zacatecas, that has been spelled
Xeres at various times. I have other relatives named Gonzalez whose name
has variously been spelled at Gonsales, Gonzalez, and other variations.
What part of Mexico and Texas are you talking about?
Sincerely, Marge Vallazza
