There are many people in this newsgroup looking for the origin of their
surname. There are many avenues where one can search, but I'm wondering if
their are any institutions in Italy that specialize in researching surnames
of its people. I too am looking for the origin of our surname and would like
to find further concrete information through some organization, if possible,
in Italy like the one mentioned above. Does anyone have any information on
institutions like this? In the U.S., we have archival records where we can
do research of Americans at, for example, the Church of the Latter Day
Saints in Utah. There must be a place like this in Italy. If anybody can
provide an address, it would be much obliged.
