I believe the above message was from Raymond Maiara. Hopefully it answers a
question I had about butchering names. My grandparents came over from Italy on
the Neustria in 1896. His name was Paolo Nicola Mocciola. We found a Nicolo
Macciola. My grandmother's name was Maria Giuseppine DeGiuseppe Mocciola and
the manifest shows a Serafina DeGiuseppe.
Could they possibly butcher the names this badly as I am sure this is the time
and the boat they came over on from Italy.
