Regarding the office which has withheld info regarding my great aunt
for the last 6 months,
I, as an Abruzzesse-American who have traveled back 4 times, must
confess that I've never seen this serious a problem in retrieving
family information. I am thououghly angered and furious by whichever
government employee in that office who has been the source of 6 months
of consternation because he/she decided to sit on that family
information. Yes, it's our fault for never asking our elders to define
their relationships. Yet it is totally sadistic of this government
employee to ignore our requests made both from the USA and from 2
towns near the office.
Now I understand why the head of the main office insisted on 2
occasions that I contact the inferior office by my own efforts.
Obviously there's a lot of envy and conflict between the two offices.
The main, its director is good as gold. The lower office has a problem
which I will not lower myself to describe in this forum.
Nonetheless, I will submit to their wishes, although it's taken 6
months for them to formulate their demands! I wouldn't be so dramatic
about this if they had informed us of their needs/requirements 6 f'ing
months ago!!!! Why did they wait so long? Also, once again, I repeat
the question, how did the Mormons just waltz in and copy close to a
million pages and yet I after 6 months find that I can't have a copy
of my aunt's birth certificate because I'm not a direct
descendant!!!!!! Hello! What a great contribution and impression this
office makes toward genealogical tourism!!! They'll give it to perfect
strangers, but to relatives, it's a no no! DO I have to express my
true feelings at this point?
Sorry for the venting, but what these jerks need is a good, swift kick
in the f'ing derriere!!
