It is still a tradition in Southern Italy, but in Naples they do not call it
the Seven Fishes. They make 7 plus fish courses and tell you they never
heard of the tradition of the Seven Fishes but they do follow it. Eel is
the big thing for the holiday. Can't have Christmas or New Years without
eel. Can's have a New Year without lentils and sausage soup.
