UK+Ireland Professional Researchers
===================================
Summary
-------
This document lists only the professional researchers who have requested
to be included. The intention is that this list should be posted to the
soc.genealogy.marketplace newsgroup on a monthly basis. This is to
ensure that adverts are not posted to the soc.genealogy.uk+ireland
newsgroup or it's associated mailing list GENUKI-L. A pointer message
will be posted every week to remind readers where to look.
No endorsement of any kind is given or implied in any way. It is up to
the reader to ensure themselves that the researcher they will to use is
reputable.

A professional researcher for over 30 years in Devon & Cornwall. He
offers a range of services which include researching your family
history from scratch, finding that elusive missing link, filling in
background information or reviewing your own work to, perhaps,
supply fresh ideas. He will visit your ancestor's village, town or
cottage and take photographs, if required. All is his work is
backed up with copies of certificates, parish records, census
records, etc.

I offer a family history research service. This service is limited
to conducting family history interviews with Irish family members
and also to the examination and reporting of records and monuments,
e.g. birth, baptism, marriage and death certificates, birth,
marriage and death notices in Irish newspapers, wills and other
documentary sources in Irish repositories, memorial cards and
gravestone inscriptions. I would prefer to confine such work to the
area of Cork City and County but I can go further afield if
required. The family history interviews which I conduct, can be
structured, in conjunction with the client, to bring out any
particular field of information sought. A full transcript of each
interview is provided as part of the service. I can also ask for
and copy family photographs where these are available from
interviewees.

Your family history is just as important to me as my own. I love
the research - finding the information, solving the mysteries,
learning about the people involved, constructing a family tree and
presenting the results in an attractive form for you. Based in
glorious Gloucestershire, I have a good knowledge of the county and
the surrounding counties, the towns and villages, the buildings and
industry, the traditions and customs. Any local sources will be
searched, whether in libraries, record offices or churchyards.
Copies of original records will be provided where possible.
Photographs can be taken, if required, of your ancestor's home and
village; tombstones can be cleaned and maintained. No commission is
too small or too great. A friendly, reliable service is offered.
