Researching from Richard CADDEL leBlac the founder of the Blake
family in the 13th century in Galway Ireland. Have interesting
biographical info on this family from a Cadle living in Australia.
Can put you in touch, or foward bio.
In the 19th century the family claimed descent from ap Lac in Wales
and not from the traditional Norse Blac.
I can't verify, but Cadle was forrester or gamekeeper in Doomsday
book, is this where family would have originally acquired coat of arms?
