I had intended to put in a sardonic smiley ;) after my mention of the
Dermot descent from Adam. I am well aware that the traditional MacMurrough
ancestry has been challenged authoritatively, but I am, alas, in no
position to summarize the challenge, and having heard of it, I have not
held on to whatever notes I had on the old descent.

Still, I am content to claim as solid a descent from Adam as anybody's.
