Subject: BROCAS & LISLE (SANBORN) pedigrees

Almost no sooner than I had put out a cry for help with connecting Sheriff
John BROCAS to Sir Bernard BROCAS and for the pedigree of Sir John LISLE,
both ancestors of the SANBORN/SAMBORN/SAMBORNE line, I found the answer in my
own back yard, the Los Angeles Public Library. For those SANBORN descendants
who don't know it yet, the BROCAS and LISLE pedigrees are both available
(along with many others and a terrific index) in William Berry's 1833
publication titled: "Pedigrees of the Families in the County of Hants", at
pgs. 90, 173-174 and 193. While the author does not make any claim that his
work is error free or is proof by itself of the pedigrees, he did believe
that his sources, including the families who were descendants of the
ancestors, were reasonably reliable and could be corroborated from other
available sources. These two lines are taken back from the 1400s into the
1100s. If you'd like more information, please email your message to me at
