Anyone out there who is expert on the various branches of Clan
Stewart, please check out the following query --

I am aware of an extinct branch of the Stewarts who were Lords St. Colme
in the 1500-1600's, and a collateral branch held a locale named
Buchlyvie. Martin Thornblad is seeking information on a certain
ALEXANDRE STEWART OF BUCKLEWE AND ST. COLME who apparently lived in the
1500's and is said to have been related to the Royal Stewarts. Although
I doubt this Alexandre belonged to the same family who held Buchlyvie or
St. Colme, he might have been somehow connected to it. How did the Lords
Doune and Lords St. Colme acquire Buchlyvie and St. Colme? Who held it
before they did? Is "Bucklewe" merely another spelling of "Buchlyvie"?
