I was hoping that someone has access to Gustaf Elgenstierna's "Den
Introducerade Svenska Adelns Attartavlor". It is the encyclopedia of
the Swedish nobility. I would like to know about a man named Go"ran
Hansson Maanestierna of Ho"gsjo" and Stenhammar. He was most likely
born about 1520, and he married Metta To"nnesdotter Thott of Skedebo.
She was the daughter of To"nne Eriksson Thott and Karin Eriksdotter
Bielke.

I have read somewhere that there is a connection between Goran Hansson
Maanestierna and the Danish noble family of the same name. However, in
the 1903 edition of Danmarks Adels Aarbog's writeup about the
Maanestierna family, there is no mention of him. It is possible that
his name is a coat of arms coincidence, but I doubt it. If there is an
entry in Elgenstierna for the Maanestierna family, I would appreciate it
very much if someone could outline the ancestry of Goran Hansson
Maanestierna as far back as it goes, including all spouses and their
noble status as well.

I realize I am asking a fair amount here, but it can't hurt to ask!
