Since you seem to be quite particular about titles, I'll query the above
name. I have never heard of Isabelle/Isabella Capet "of France" being
referred to as Isabeau. In fact, the only Isabeau I have heard of (as
opposed to the common name of Isabelle) was Isabeau of Bavaria, wife of
King Charles VI of France, and mother of Isabelle de Valois (second wife
of Richard II, Isabella Capet's great-grandson) and also of Catherine de
Valois (wife of Henry V, Isabella Capet's great-great grandson).

I'd be interested to hear where you heard of Isabella Capet being
referred to as Isabeau.

On a related note, after watching "Braveheart" I am naturally stunned by
its blatant disregard for factual history. However, I recall also the
mention of a nephew of King Edward I as being Governor of York, and being
killed by William Wallace's men. As far as I know, Edward's siblings were
two sisters who married abroad, and Edmund Crouchback, who had two sons,
neither of whom were killed in this conflict (one was Thomas Earl of
Lancaster, who was beheaded in the reign of Edward II, while the other
was Henry Earl of Lancaster, grandfather of the Blanche of Lancaster who
married John of Gaunt). I doubt also if it was a relative of Eleanor of
Castile or Marguerite of France (aunt of Isabella Capet) who was Governor
of York in England. Is this a fabrication also?
