Hi Friends;

Yesterday I received several messages on C-32- two of interest to all.

The first corrected some contact errors in the email I copied to you.:-(

The second is composed of two letters from Jim Steele:
- one two the committee,
- the second to Ms. Copps & Mr Manley.

They are worth reading, and I have updated our C-32 web page
<http://www.cam.org/~roncox/REC/C-32.html>; I would suggest you read them.

For my response, I am going to both endorse these two documents and add my
own personal comments.

In case you didn't twig to the full impact of Round 2, it will become
ILLEGAL TO PHOTOCOPY EITHER PUBLISHED AND UNPUBLISHED DOCUMENTS.

In our library, a sign has been added which says in effect; that under bill
C-32, you will be unable to photocopy anything in this library.

So your PROTEST MESSAGES, from Canada, US, wherever, are URGENTLY
solicited. My personal reading is that the government is going to pass the
bill before Christmas break- so time is of the essence.

Our actions in round 1 were noticed. (And remember, '97 is probably going
to be an election year.)
