As a novice, I understand that the surname Rhys was the Welsh origin of
the name Rice. If true, when did the change take place? Where? Or am
I following two name streams (Rhys and Rice). I am about ready to jump
from early America to Europe but am not certain when (or if) to look for
deconstruction of the Rice name.
