It's kind of you to reply. You strike me as someone who knows of what
she speaks. We may express ourselves differently, but that is what makes
for dialogues and horse races. Fair enough?

I listed the additional steps that I feel need to be taken to determine
the provenance and authenticity of these "William Longespee" Bradenstoke
Priory charter documents. The excruciating remembrance of the skewering
of Dennis Fung-----as well as the *Der Spiegel* "Hitler Diaries----are
necessary and sufficient examples of folks who did not do their
homework, and suffered the consequences. Others might cite the Warren
Commission and Martin Luther King Assassination investigations.

In short, it's better to do it right the first time----with a
genealogical correlation---as with virtually everything else in life.

I was hoping you would tell us about this seminal conflict between J.
Horace Round and R.E.G. Kirk. No, I do not want to start an idle
brouhaha----or unleash the rampant dogs of speculation, sans evidence
and logic. Perhaps the seed of their conflict has some instant relevance
to our deliberations on soc.gen.medieval.

This is silly and should be unnecessary to actually say, because you
have *gravitas* and a level head, but the quote below in no way refers
to you------particularly since you tell me you are good-looking, or
whatever.
I know you will understand that and see this as just another "Winston
Churchill" story. Some of us are still fond of him and think he was a
Great Man and made some significant contributions to History and exposed
several Genealogical fallacies.
