This has been discussed in great detail in this newsgroup on other
occasions. A good way to find many of these articles would be to go
to Dejanews (http://www.dejanews,com/) and do a search (in both old
and new articles) with "Rollo" as a keyword (plus perhaps a second
keyword such as "genealogy" to narrow things down a bit).
The short answer is that virtually nothing is known for sure about the
origin or parentage of Rollo, as all of the sources which CLAIM to
know something about Rollo's parentage (Dudo, Richer, the Icelandic
sagas, etc.) have serious credibility problems.
