Hockey puck.

You sound like a terrible prig.

Gentlemen "belittle another's point of view" --- i.e., point out the errors
and sloppy thinking --- all the time.

It's called:

Debate in:

The Free Market of Ideas.

Some ideas are clearly better than others. For example "Racism" is a bad
idea. "Socialism" is a bad idea and has come a cropper.

Economic protectionism, i.e., "Beggar thy Neighbor" policies, constitute a
bad idea.

Descent from Charlemagne Means one is "Special" --- is a bad idea.

Do you understand the drift?
--
D. Spencer Hines --- Lady Astor, nee Nancy Langhorne of Danville,
Virginia --- first woman to serve as an MP --- [Conservative, Plymouth] ---
a Teetotaller, Appeaser and Ardent Francophobe; at a dinner party with
Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill (1874-1965): "Winston, you're drunk!"
WLSC: "Yes Madam, I am---and you are ugly. But tomorrow, I shall be
sober---and you will still be ugly."
