NEW CD-ROM DATABASE FOR POLISH RESEARCHERS

"Teki Dworzaczek"- The Dworzaczek Files,
historical and genealogical sources on the
nobility of "Greater Poland" in the 15th - 20th
centuries.

For Windows 95

This CD-ROM, contains all of the unpublished work
of the eminent Polish genealogist- Professor
W³odimierz Dworzaczek.
Known for his "landmark" work published in the
late 1950's called
Genealogia. The contents of the CD-ROM are:

Regesta/Notes (TEXT IS IN POLISH )
* 193,691 notes from 15-th-18th c. castle and
court record
* 61,957 notes from16th-19th vital records from

Roman Catholic & Protestant church records
* 1,026 notes from 18th c. newspapers
* 11,855 notes of obituaries from Dziennik
Poznañski
* 252 extracts of wills
* Pedigrees constructed from Poznañ, Pyzdry,
Wa³cz, Wschowa &
the Piotrków tribunal records.
* The unfinished armorial Historical and
genealogical materials
For the history of grander property in Greater
Poland- 12,000 pages!

Maps
48 maps of Poland, cities, and counties of Greater

Poland.

Gedcom Database
The disk also includes a Gedcom Database of 50,500

people and their family relationships for the
nobility of Greater
Poland prepared by the Genealogy Department of the

Kórnik Library. You can also learn which
coat-of-arms
(herb.) the family used, the property held, their
occupation/office, the years in the position, and
the source. Users have the ability to import data

from it into their
favorite personal programs, which included
multi-language support.

Benefits of the CD are access to rare Polish
Materials for genealogists, historians, libraries,

and LDS Family History Centers and it is now
available for windows
whereas the first version was in DOS. I believe
this CD will become a
standard setter and really advance Polish
genealogy.

System and Software Requirements

Hardware requirements: a 486 with 16mb and true
color graphics with at least a 4X CD-ROM drive.

Operating System: Windows 95 with Polish fonts in

the Code Page 1250 standard. ( Windows CE or
Windows Latin-2). The best way, if you use Win95,
is to
download Multi-language Support from Microsoft
,which is free
(which Iincludes the 3 basic fonts with Central
European and other characters) from:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/download/lang.exe

The only disappointing feature of the CD-ROM was
that the data content is for the western portion
of Poland and my ancestors are from the south and
southeast parts
of Poland. However, as I was reading through the
excellent help file and read the biography of
Professor Dworzaczek I
discovered that he spent some time researching in
the archives of Krakow after the war. Upon
inquiring of Mr.
Prinke of the availablity of that data I learned
this CD-ROM is forth
coming:

ALSO! Luszczynski and Dworzaczek Files-
Historical and genealogical sources on the
nobility of Lesser Poland(the Krakow region) in
the 15th-20th c. by The Kornik Library

Planned to present the unpublished work of W.
Dworzaczek that he did after World War II while in

Krakow archives, along with the work that he did
in court
and land records. This is very exciting for those

of us whose ancestors are from this region.

If you would like to reserve yourself copy now!
Send an e-mail to with the

following: "Lesser Poland CD-ROM" in the subject
header.
Please include you Name, address, and telephone
number.
