I'm a new subscriber on both these lists, and I'm hitting up both of them in
case someone can provide the info that I'm looking for.
First off, here's the line in question:
Direct Descendants of JOHN of Gaunt

Has anyone out there the missing dates and places for these people? The
resources that I have don't give the Neville line down as far as Susanna, and
they don't include the Norton line.
The Nortons bring up another question. As I saw the line posted somewhere, the
name would have been "Conyers" had not the child of a male Conyers and a
female Norton called himself "Conyers-Norton." A succeeding generation dropped
the "Conyers" designation and simply called himself "Norton," although the
patrilineal line would have been "Conyers," as I understand it. Can someone
shed some light on that business?
Thanx for any help you can give--
Doris Stanford
