I wasn't going to make a further post on this subject, but I did not want there
to be any ambiguity about certain things.

This implies you have not had access to the group for months. This is
misleading. You have made posts under a number of different addresses. From
your you made posts on July 12, 13, 16, 20 and August 13,
a month ago. You have been a very active member the last six months, querying
about various persons you were working on for the book. You were active while
the discussions were going on about Countess Ida and the Toeni family.

Does the Golden Rule include ethics? If your key to happiness is not so much
publishing books or articles or making new genealogical discoveries, how about
crediting this list concerning the Countess Ida and Toeni matter? That would
seem to be the Golden Rule thing to do, aside from what current standards of
scholarship in our field expect.

Sorry for this off-topic post. Good to see you at the FHL and have the brief
interactions we've enjoyed so far.
